My Friend of Misery

My latest story ‘Kicks‘ is included in the newly released second anthology from Forgotten Tomb Press, featuring 48 horror tales from some of the genre’s brightest stars and up and coming names.

Miseria’s Chorale gathers together award winners, bestsellers, veterans and exciting new stars in one mammoth anthology that represents a broad definition of horror, taking readers on a journey to unspeakable realms and nightmarish self-discovery.

At 535 pages, it’s another whopping great tome and makes an ideal Christmas present for that horror fan in your life. Start adding it to your letter to Santa now people!

Links to where to buy it can be found on the publications tab as usual.

Just for Kicks

miseriaschoralefrontcoverteaserHave heard back this week that my short story ‘Kicks‘ has been accepted by Forgotten Tomb Press to be included in their second planned anthology, ‘Miseria’s Chorale Volume 1‘, due out in the next couple of months.

This is the anthology they originally invited me to submit to a couple of months ago and in contrast to the recently released ‘100 Doors To Madness‘ flash anthology (see earlier posts this month), these are all longer stories.

You can find an up-to-date list of stories and contributors here.

Based on the closing date, I suspect the book will be out sometime during November, so will update  you more then.

Madness descends!

100doorstomadnessfullcoversmall

The debut anthology from small press newcomers Forgotten Tomb is released today and includes my story ‘Rank & Defile‘.

As the title implies, 100 Doors To Madness contains new horror fiction from 100 different authors, and is available in both paperback and ebook formats.

The book itself weighs in at just under 500 pages and is well worth both the price and a place on your bedside table to keep you awake during the dark nights this winter.

If you like your horror bitesize, why not pick up a copy over at Amazon.com/Amazon.co.uk?

Nasty Hiatus

Pendragon Press have announced that their planned regular series of mini-anthologies, entitled The Nasty Snips Project, is now on hiatus for the time being, to allow editor Chris Teague time to plan out the project a little better.

As you may remember, the first volume of the series is set to include my flash piece ‘The Perfect Woman‘, so I’ll update you with a revised publication schedule once one becomes available.

You can read Chris’ latest update and the original idea behind the project respectively over on the Pendragon site here and here.

Further Hints of Madness

Forgotten Tomb Press have confirmed the full Table of Contents for their upcoming flash fiction anthology ‘100 Doors To Madness‘, due out shortly, which contains my piece ‘Rank & Defile‘.

You can read the full list of authors and stories here.

Below is a preview of the cover art to whet your appetite and hopefully make sure you don’t ‘blow the bloody Doors off!’ *

Band Candy

My latest horror story ‘With The Band‘ is out now, in the newly released September issue of Niteblade Magazine.

Issue #25 is entitled ‘Alice Underground’ and you can download it in various ebook formats from either the Niteblade Shop or Amazon.co.uk/Amazon.com.

This one’s a bit of a mini-milestone for me, as it’s my 20th publication. The last four years have gone by so quickly, I find myself wishing I’d written more than I have.

Time to redouble my efforts for the next four years then!
